Assistant Professor Dr. Hatem Moussa, certified by the American Board since 2006 and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, boasts international recognition as an expert in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. He is also accredited as a robotic surgery trainer. Proficient in a wide range of complex procedures, he specializes in colorectal and cancer surgeries, as well as breast, thyroid, and parathyroid surgeries. Additionally, he addresses soft tissue cancer, stomach, and gastrointestinal diseases. His expertise extends to repairing various hernia types, including abdominal wall reconstruction using robotic techniques. Dr. Hatem Moussa completed his surgical training at the State University of New York SUNY Downstate, Brooklyn NY in 2005, followed by several years as an Assistant Professor of Surgery. Furthermore, he undertook a mini-fellowship training in robotic thyroid surgery at Tulane University.
